An exceptional upright variety producing masses of dark, chocolatey purple, semi-double flowers throughout the summer into early autumn. Care: Grow in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Under glass, grow in full light in a loamless or loam-based compost mixed with sharp sand. Generally does not survive winter outdoors, so overwinter indoors or replace.
Do pelargoniums come back every year?
Pelargoniums, commonly known as ‘geraniums’, are very ornamental perennial plants producing lots of extremely colourful flowers for months on end. Some start to flower in spring, but mainly from early June to the first severe frosts of autumn. If grown indoors they can flower all year round.
