A compact, dome-shaped evergreen shrub, growing wider than it is high, and an excellent all-year-round subject for a small garden. It produces dense clusters of green flower buds in late summer and these open to fragrant, creamy-white flowers in April and May, attracting bees from far and wide.
Care:
Grow in moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full or partial shade. Tolerates sun if soil remains consistently moist. Tolerates neglect and air pollution. Leaves may yellow if exposed to too much sun or if planted in poor, dry soil.
