Polemonium caeruleum, known as Jacob’s-ladder or Greek valerian, is a hardy perennial flowering plant. The plant produces cup-shaped, blue or white flowers. It is native to temperate regions of Europe.
Polemonium species are fairly easy to care for; they like moist soil so water frequently. The soil should be kept cool, so it is best to top dress the soil with leaf mold in the spring. Once flowering has finished cut the flowering shoots back to ground level.
