What are cornfield flowers?
Cornfield flowers are annual plants that germinate, mature, flower and set-seed all in a single year. Cornflower, corncockle and corn marigold are often used in amenity planting schemes and sometimes as a nursery crop for meadow restoration schemes to provide a burst of colour in the first year.
