Beech or Fagus Sylvatica is one of the most popular native hedges in UK. Famous for its magnificent autumn colour, green leaves in summer turn a copper like colour in the autumn and although a deciduous variety it can retain some foliage to offer some coverage over the winter months (subject to weather and exposed locations). Suitable in normal and clay soils it enjoys full sun or partial shaded locations and has a fast growth rate between 30-60 cm per annum. Beech is available in Bare root, root balls and pot grown forms so plenty of choice and options to consider. We are more than happy to help advise and guide you through your order, please call or email us for any advice.
