‘Peve Dave’ is an upright, bushy, deciduous shrub bearing palmate, reddish-purple leaves divided into narrowly lance-shaped, toothed lobed, the entire leaf turning bright orange and red in autumn. Inconspicuous, red flowers in spring are followed by winged, red-flushed, green seed pods.
Acers need damp (but not wet) soil conditions, so a loamy soil with good drainage is perfect. Make sure to check the state of the soil- especially if growing in containers- as your tree grows. Adjust watering so there’s a good level of moisture without flooding.
