Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’ is a deciduous shrub with soft deep maroon/reddish purple round leaves that contrast clear pink plumes in late summer that are so light and wispy that the shrub became known as the “Smoke Bush”. Foliage looks at its best after being pruned hard in early spring time.
