Photinia Carre Rouge is a compact evergreen photinia with vibrantly red young foliage. It’s a great choice for hedging and brightening up an informal garden border.

Photinia is a popular shrub and the cultivar Carre Rouge is a particularly bright variety. It’s more compact and has smaller leaves than other photinia reaching roughly half the maximum size of the popular Photinia Red Robin cultivar. In spring glossy lanceolate leaves unfurl in bright brilliant red. This early red foliage matures to shiny dark green and in spring rounded bursts of tiny creamy-white flowers appear in panicles. Throughout winter Photinia Carre Rouge holds onto its dark green glossy leaves and brings shape and structure to a bare garden.
