The common snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus) is a popular garden plant and is used in the floral industry; many horticultural varieties exist. The taxonomy of the group is contentious. Snapdragons are mostly short-lived perennial plants, though some species are annuals. The simple leaves are usually lance-shaped.
Taking Care of Antirrhinum
Water moderately but never let the plant dry out completely. Feed once a fortnight, with a mild fertilizer once buds form. Stake tall varieties in exposed sites. Perennials forms may survive mild winters, however, they are best treated as annuals or biennials.
