Pennisetum orientale – Oriental Fountain Grass -is a clump-forming, tufted perennial grass that grows to around 60 cms.. It bears arching, linear leaves and hairy, narrow, grey-mauve soft bottle-brushes flowers. ‘Fairy Tails’ is an extremely tactile plant with feathery flowers in pinky-white.

- Position: full sun.
- Soil: light, well-drained soil.
- Rate of growth: average.
- Flowering period: July to September.
- Hardiness: frost hardy (may need winter protection in colder areas)
