Phormium ‘Apricot Queen’ commonly known as New Zealand Flax ‘Apricot Queen’, is a recent, colourful cultivar from New Zealand and is an evergreen, clumping, half-hardy shrub. Yellow leaves are edged striped dark green and red, turning more apricot coloured as they mature.
How do you take care of Phormium plants?
Plant phormiums in spring or early summer in a sunny spot in fertile well-drained soil. Keep moist during dry spells for the first growing season, but after that phormiums growing in the ground need little care, and pot-grown plants need only watering.
