Phormium ‘Jester’, known as the New Zealand Flax, Phormiums are extremely architectural, tropical effect plants with lovely sword / strap like leaves, they must have full sun and a moist but well drained soil. … Lovely tight clusters of red flowers on stems above the main group of leaves by late summer.
Care:
Grow moist, well-drained, fertile soil in full sun, will also tolerate partial shade. Foliage may be damaged by cold winds and hard frosts. Cut back the flower stalks to the base after they have finished.
Soil drainage: Well-drained, Moist but well-drained.
