Astilbe – “Astary Rose” 2Ltr

This naturally dwarf cultivar tops out just under a foot tall in full bloom. Rose pink, triangular plumes are produced just above the glossy, dark green, stocky clump of foliage.

A member of Astilbe x arendsii(Hybrid Astilbe/False Spirea). A group of hybrids developed by famed German nurseryman George Arends. Includes crosses between A. chinensis var. davidii with A. astilboides, A. japonica, and A. thunbergii. The resulting hybrids comprise over 95% of all Astilbe sold in the USA.

How do you keep astilbe blooming?

They love rich, moist soil. An annual spring dose of 5-10-5 organic fertilizer helps them produce their beautiful blooms year after year from spring through summer.
