 Very dense small-leaved native evergreen, with dark green glossy, leathery leaves which give off an unusual sweet smell.

Care

Buxus plants are reasonably versatile and adaptable, they are best planted in full sun through to partial shade. To increase the humus levels in the soil, it is best to add a good compost or alternatively manure.  Buxus can be planted either in the ground or kept in pots.  The best time to trim is from May to early June with a second trim in October when the Buxus has stopped its growth.
