Details ‘Red Dragon’ is an evergreen shrub, reaching 1.5m, with small, round, slightly puckered, pinkish-red leaves that turn a deep burgundy colour when temperatures fall. Mature plants produce small, white, scented, cup-shaped flowers with a mass of stamens in late summer, followed by black berries.
Care Information
Plant ensuring that the top of the root ball is level with the soil.
Keep well-watered
Remove dead, diseased or misplaced branches in late winter or early spring, otherwise very easy to grow. If grown as hedging, prune in spring and mid summer – Lophomyrtus is tolerant of severe pruning.
