‘Dalmatian Rose’ is a compact, rosette-forming, hairy, biennial or short-lived, deciduous to semi-evergreen perennial with ovate to lance-shaped, wrinkled, toothed, dark green leaves and, in summer, upright spikes of bell-shaped, spotted, purple to purple-pink flowers with white petal margins.
CARE:
Prefers a partial shady position where soil is kept moist in summer but still well-drained. Shelter from strong winds. After flowering cut back the foxgloves old flowered spikes to encourage more side-shoots. At the end of the season cut down to the ground after flowering has ceased.
