Noted for its dramatic foliage, Ophiopogon planiscapus ‘Nigrescens’ is a mondo grass cultivar forming dense tufts of arching, strap-shaped, grass-like, dark purple to almost jet black leaves, about 8-12 in. long (20-30 cm).
